Issues Tax Relief for Virginia Families : As a successful businessman, Barry understands that lower taxes help entrepreneurs create jobs and puts more money in the pockets of middle income families. He believes strongly in low taxes and smaller, smarter government. Putting Classrooms First : We need to keep 65% of education dollars in the classroom- enabling us to shift $400 million from the bureaucracy to the classroom. This will help make our schools even better by bringing smaller class sizes and higher standards. He will also support merit and bonus pay to allow our public schools to attract the best teachers. Protecting Our Rural Heritage: Barry has enrolled over 540 acres in Virginia Beach's agricultural reserve program and he has donated an agricultural easement of over 60 acres to the city of Chesapeake. This land, totaling over 600 acres, will be protected from development forever. Improving Transportation: As a businessman, Barry understands the importance of ensuring our infrastructure can support future economic growth in our region. Supporting our Military: As the son of a United States Marine, Barry respects the difficult sacrifices that our military families must make every day to ensure our freedom. Preserving Traditional Values: As a husband and a father, Barry is committed to preserving strong family values and protecting constitutional rights. He is a member of the NRA and will fight to protect the 2nd amendment. Barry is also the Vice President of the Virginia Beach Farm Bureau.
